1. Can a candidate with only a normal B.A. or B.Sc. degree apply for the ALP post? No, a general graduation degree is not sufficient. You must possess the required technical qualifications, which include a relevant ITI certificate, a Diploma in specified engineering branches, or a Degree in those specific engineering branches.

2. I have a B.Tech in Computer Science. Am I eligible? No, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, and Information Technology are generally not eligible for the ALP post. The eligible engineering disciplines are strictly Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and Automobile Engineering.

3. What is the A-1 medical standard? The A-1 medical standard is the strictest in the railways. It mandates 6/6 vision in both eyes without glasses or contact lenses. Candidates must also pass tests for color vision, binocular vision, night vision, and mesopic vision. If you wear glasses, you are disqualified for the ALP post.

4. Can I apply for vacancies in more than one RRB zone? No. You are permitted to submit only one online application for a specific RRB zone. Applying to multiple RRBs will lead to the rejection of all your applications.

8. What is Part B of CBT-2? Part B is a qualifying technical paper based on the trade syllabus prescribed by the Director General of Training (DGT). You must secure a minimum qualifying mark (usually 35%) regardless of your category. If you fail Part B, your Part A score will not be evaluated.

9. How much of the application fee is refundable? If you appear for CBT-1, an amount of ₹400 (out of ₹500) is refunded to UR/OBC candidates, and the full ₹250 is refunded to candidates belonging to SC/ST/Female/Minority/EBC categories, minus bank charges.

10. What is the Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)? The CBAT, also known as the psycho test, evaluates a candidate's cognitive skills, reaction time, concentration, and situational awareness.
